Wil Wheaton Fawkes Plush

So, about a week before Comic Con, I got a silly idea in my head. If I'm going to give plushies to both Felicia Day and Amy Okuda, how rude would it be to give them dolls and give Wil Wheaton nothing? Thus, this doll was completed in a single week.

Once again I used FullmetalPiglet's awesome Sackboy pattern (found here: www.pigcorner.com) I hand sewed the shirt and kilt, which was very...interesting, since this whole plush collection was my first time sewing anything at all! I used an iron-on transfer to get the Axis of Anarchy logo onto his shirt. The bracelet and shoes are made of leather, as is the sporran, or pouch-thingy in front of the kilt. That was made from the aforementioned leather, some green felt, and some basic necklace chain I picked up at Joann's.

Due to the time constraint, I got lazy and forgot to take any detailed pictures of him myself. Woops! So instead, here is the picture that the oh-so-wonderful Wil Wheaton himself took of me with the doll at the con! Giving the plush to him was by far the highlight of the entire weekend. When I pulled it out of my bag and handed it to him, his face morphed from casual smile to a look of shock and awe. He just stared at it with pure joy on his face, and the convention employee who was tending his booth laughed and said, "You've actually left him speechless! That's a first today!" After a good laugh, he thanked me and let me take pictures, and we had a fun chat. He also gave me one of his books and signed it, all for free! He is truly one of the coolest people I have ever met, and I really appreciate the fact that he takes the time to talk individually with the fans who come to see him, instead of just signing something, taking a picture, and asking them to move on. You're the best Wil!
